A breathtaking and mystifying incident has drawn the attention of Iwo residents as workers made a remarkable discovery during the demolition of aged buildings for a new double-lane road project
During the course of the work, a long-abandoned grave site — untouched for over 23 years — was inadvertently exhumed, revealing the remains of a husband and wife interred together, with a notable contrast between their states of preservation
As expected, the wife's body had fully decomposed after over two decades of subterranean internment, with only skeletal remains surviving. In stark contrast, however, the husband's corpse was discovered in an astonishingly pristine state, with his skin and facial features remarkably preserved, and his burial attire appearing clean and unstained, as though the passage of time had been arrested
The unusual finding quickly disseminated across the town, drawing a large assembly of onlookers and religious scholars. Many believe that this is a divine sign from God, a tangible reminder of the promise made to the pious and righteous
"This is no accident," a prominent spiritual authority observed. "This is God's way of recognizing the dedication of His servant. The Prophet (peace be upon him) shared with us the knowledge that the earth does not consume the bodies of those beloved by God."
