VENO NEWS:Okiki Bright Set to Drop Groundbreaking Album That Will Redefine Fuji Music
Date: 19-08-25

Fuji star Okiki Bright is gearing up for the release of a new album that promises to be a game-changer in the Nigerian music industry. Known for his daring creativity and powerful stage presence, the singer is preparing to unveil a project that blends deep personal storytelling with innovative sounds.

The album, which is currently being produced at Alfa P Studio, is the result of a strong collaboration between Okiki Bright and his trusted creative team. Samson Oroki, popularly called Shamelon, handled the songwriting, while Julius Olagoroye, also known as Julie King, served as producer. At the technical helm is Alfa Peters Abiola, who is engineering the project with precision.

For Okiki Bright, this is not just another album; it is a reflection of his life’s journey. He reveals that the project is rooted in painful memories of losing his mother, who battled breast cancer for three years before passing away. Her death during his teenage years left him scarred, yet it also became the foundation of his resilience.

“This album is very personal to me. It tells my story, my struggles, and the things I have had to overcome since losing my mum,” the singer said. “Every line, every beat is from the depth of my heart.”

The new project, containing five carefully curated tracks, takes listeners through a mix of grief, survival, and triumph. Okiki Bright weaves his emotions into music in a way that paints a vivid picture of his journey from pain to purpose.

Beyond his mother’s story, the singer also pays tribute to Oko Oloyun, the late alternative medicine practitioner whose tragic passing shocked many Nigerians. Okiki Bright recalls their relationship with deep emotion, noting how Oloyun’s sudden death left a vacuum in his life.

Musically, the album breaks new ground. The singer introduces bata percussion, a bold move that fuses Yoruba traditional drumming with Fuji rhythms in a fresh, contemporary way. Industry watchers say this innovation could mark a new era for Fuji music in Nigeria.

“The rhythms are superb, the compositions are fantastic, and the progression is high-tech,” Okiki Bright declared, adding that he believes the songs will capture the hearts of both Fuji lovers and a younger audience looking for originality.

Inside sources who have listened to snippets of the album describe it as a blockbuster waiting to happen. They highlight its fusion of raw emotion, cultural depth, and musical excellence as a combination that is rarely found in today’s Fuji landscape.

Shamelon, the songwriter, noted that he poured his heart into crafting lyrics that match Okiki Bright’s experiences. “It was important that the songs didn’t just sound good but also told his truth. Listeners will feel the pain, the hope, and the victory in every track,” he said.

Producer Julie King echoed similar sentiments, praising the synergy in the studio. According to him, the collaboration was seamless and spiritually inspiring. “We created something timeless. The energy was different, and I believe people will connect with it immediately,” he said.

Chief engineer Alfa Peters Abiola revealed that the team spent extra hours fine-tuning the sound. From balancing instruments to enhancing the bata drums, the focus was on ensuring that the innovation shines without drowning the essence of Fuji.

With the album set to drop soon, anticipation among fans is already high. Social media is buzzing with excitement as followers of Okiki Bright call it the beginning of a new chapter in Fuji history.

The artiste, often referred to as the “Brainbox of Music”, has built a reputation for pushing boundaries in the genre. This new project, he insists, is his boldest attempt yet to take Fuji to a global stage.

For Okiki Bright, the album is more than entertainment—it is a legacy. Through it, he hopes to honor his late mother, preserve Yoruba traditions, and show the world that Fuji can evolve without losing its roots.
