VENO TV: From the Pulpit "Let Us Stop Carrying the Heavy Bags of Anger and Hatred" — Princess Pastor Venisa Ojo (Omo Oba Jesu)
Date: 02-08-26

Princess Pastor Venisa Ojo, popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu, has called on Christians and humanity at large to embrace forgiveness, love, peace, and compassion, reminding everyone that life is uncertain and no one knows when his or her earthly journey will end.
Speaking during the latest edition of Sunday Tonic, she said many people live as though they have unlimited time, spending their days nurturing hatred, bitterness, envy, revenge, and unhealthy competition.

According to her, every human being is on a journey whose end is known only to God.

"We wake up every morning believing we still have plenty of time," she said. "Time to hate, time to quarrel, time to prove ourselves better than others. Yet every minute, someone leaves this world. Life gives no guarantee, and death does not always send a warning."

She stressed that no amount of wealth, influence, fame, titles, or political power can stop the inevitable appointment with death.

Therefore, she urged people to reconcile with one another, forgive quickly, and avoid carrying the heavy burdens of anger and hatred.

Princess Venisa noted that many families, communities, and even nations remain divided because of pride, selfishness, unforgiveness, and the pursuit of temporary earthly possessions.

She warned that fighting over wealth, land, status, or revenge is meaningless because none of these material things will accompany anyone beyond the grave.

According to her, true greatness is not measured by the size of one's bank account or social status but by the number of lives touched through kindness, honesty, compassion, and service to humanity.

She encouraged believers to tell the truth even when it is difficult, remain honest despite the cost, and continually extend kindness to those who may never be able to repay them.

She described kindness as a mark of strength, compassion as wisdom, and humanity as the greatest legacy anyone can leave behind.

Princess Venisa further reminded listeners that when life's journey finally ends, people will not be remembered for the riches they accumulated but for the peace they spread, the bridges they built, the love they shared, and the lives they transformed.

She therefore urged everyone to make peace today, forgive without delay, help the less privileged, and live each day with eternity in view.
She concluded with a heartfelt prayer:

"May the Lord guide our hearts to what is right, forgive our shortcomings, fill our lives with sincere goodness, and grant us a beautiful ending when our time comes. Amen."
