VENO tv: From the Pulpit: DON’T LET ANOTHER WOMAN ATTRACT YOUR HEART — PASTOR PRINCESS VENISA OJO TELLS MEN
Date: 16-08-26

Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo, popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu, has sent a strong message to married men, urging them to protect their wives, control their tempers and never allow another woman to take over their hearts.
Speaking during her From the Pulpit Sunday Tonic, Pastor Princess said being a husband goes beyond providing money and material things for the home. According to her, a godly husband must understand that his wife needs love, respect, attention, protection and prayer.
“Don’t put your wife down in front of other people or go around telling the whole world about her weaknesses,” she admonished.
She explained that a man should protect the dignity of his wife rather than embarrass her before friends, relatives or outsiders. According to her, marriage becomes stronger when husband and wife learn to protect each other, particularly in moments of disagreement.
Pastor Princess also warned husbands against uncontrolled anger, noting that words spoken carelessly can leave wounds that last much longer than the argument itself.
“Don’t get angry with her easily. If you lose your temper, the words you speak may remain in her heart for many months. Controlling your tongue is one of the ways you show that you love her,” she said.

Quoting the principle contained in 1 Peter 3:7, she urged husbands to dwell with their wives according to knowledge and give them honour.
She further advised men not to ignore their wives' feelings.
According to her, a woman may not be asking her husband to give her the whole world. Sometimes, what she desires most is simply for her husband to notice her, listen to her, respect her and make her feel important.
“Being close to her can have more power than any gift you buy for her,” she stressed.
Turning to the issue of marital faithfulness, Pastor Princess gave one of her strongest warnings to husbands:
“Don't let another woman attract your heart.”
She urged married men to guard their hearts and avoid relationships capable of threatening the peace and stability of their homes.
She noted that a husband should continue to cherish the woman he married, pointing to Proverbs 5:18, which encourages a man to rejoice with the wife of his youth.
Pastor Princess also stressed the importance of prayer in marriage, urging husbands never to stop praying for their wives.
She said being a husband is not an easy responsibility and that a man who belongs to God should demonstrate his faith through the way he treats his wife.
Citing Ephesians 5:25, she reminded husbands of the biblical command to love their wives as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for it.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE AND THE HEART
In another part of her Sunday Tonic message, Pastor Princess addressed the debate surrounding church attendance, particularly the claim by some Christians that failing to attend church on Sunday is automatically a sin.
She explained that God is not restricted to a physical building, stressing that what God desires is a sincere heart devoted to Him.
She noted that throughout the Bible, God encountered and taught people in different places — in the wilderness, on mountains, in homes and along the road.
Quoting Matthew 18:20, she recalled the words of Jesus: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
However, she cautioned Christians against using the fact that God is everywhere as an excuse to completely abandon fellowship with other believers.
According to Hebrews 10:25, Christians are encouraged not to forsake assembling together.
She explained that believers grow through fellowship, prayer, worship, teaching and supporting one another.
The lesson, she said, is that Christianity should neither be reduced to merely recording church attendance nor turned into an excuse for avoiding Christian fellowship.

God is not simply looking at an attendance register; He is looking at the heart that is sincerely committed to Him.
For husbands, Pastor Princess concluded that protecting one's marriage requires more than providing material things. A godly man must guard his heart, honour his wife, control his words, understand her feelings, remain faithful and continually pray for her.
“Don't let another woman attract your heart.”
