FROM THE PULPIT DO NOT MAKE YOUR WIFE FEEL WORTHLESS — GUIDE, VALUE AND PROTECT HER — Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo a.k.a Omo Oba Jesu
Date: 29:08: 26

As we prepare to enter the new month and the beginning of the “ember” months, Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo, popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu, has offered words of encouragement and prayers to VENO tv readers.
According to her, God is saying to someone today: “You will rise again.”
She declared that an eagle Christian does not surrender permanently to difficult circumstances.
“You may have been down yesterday, but you will rise again. Your present situation does not determine your final destination. God still has the power to lift you above every challenge,” she prayed.
Turning her attention to marriage and family life, Pastor Venisa Ojo urged husbands never to make their wives feel worthless or insignificant before other people.
She stressed that a husband has a responsibility to guide, protect, appreciate and honour his wife, especially in the presence of family members, friends and visitors.
According to her, a wife deserves respect and should never be deliberately humiliated or treated as though she has no voice simply because she is married.
She observed that some men believe their wives should not contribute to discussions or express opinions, insisting that a woman's only responsibility is to remain at home cooking, cleaning, sweeping and serving her husband.
Pastor Venisa, however, cautioned against imposing one family's pattern of marriage on another.
“One man's meat is another man's poison. Run your home according to the understanding and agreement between you and your spouse. Do not interfere unnecessarily in another person's marriage.”
She reminded husbands that a wife is a partner, not a servant.
“A woman must not lose her voice because she gets married. A man does not become a better husband by silencing his wife,” she said.
She added that marriage should create an atmosphere where husband and wife can communicate freely, listen to each other and resolve disagreements with respect.
According to her, husbands should make deliberate efforts to ensure that their wives feel loved, secure and appreciated.
“You married her because you loved her. Continue to treat her with dignity. Appreciate her, protect her and make her happy. She is your partner in the journey of life,” she advised.
Pastor Venisa also challenged traditional attitudes suggesting that a woman has no value whenever her husband is speaking or that a “real man” must prevent his wife from expressing herself.
She said calling a woman a “queen” should go beyond words.
“If you call her your queen, then treat her with the respect and dignity of a queen. It is not right to marry a woman and later treat her like a slave,” she stated.
She concluded by encouraging couples to build their marriages on love, mutual respect, understanding, communication and partnership.

Protect your wife.
Appreciate your wife.
Listen to your wife.
Respect your wife.
Never make her feel worthless.

Marriage is not slavery; it is partnership.
See you next Sunday for another edition of Sunday Tonic.

Happy New Month in advance!
