FROM THE PULPIT SUNDAY TONIC TURN BACK TO GOD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE — Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo a.k.a Omo Oba Jesu Date: 05-09-26
Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo, popularly known as Omo Oba Jesu, has urged believers, backsliders and unbelievers alike to turn back to God without delay.
She made the call while preaching the Gospel on Saturday morning, stressing that no one should waste precious time before embracing their Creator.
According to her, God often sends warnings and calls people back to Himself before situations become dangerous or irreversible.
Her message, titled “Kuro Laarin Won” — “Leave Them,” was a passionate call for Christians to separate themselves from anything capable of destroying their relationship with God.
“Come out of gossip, jealousy, destructive friendships, secret sin, manipulation, ungodly pursuits and every environment that is trying to disconnect you from God,” she admonished.
Pastor Princess Ojo explained that not everybody is meant to accompany a person into every chapter of life.
“Some people were part of your yesterday but are not assigned to your tomorrow. When God says, ‘Leave them,’ do not allow the fear of loneliness to keep you in a place where your destiny is gradually dying. However, always seek God’s wisdom before making serious decisions,” she said.
She further highlighted some warning signs that may indicate that a believer is gradually drifting away from God.
DO NOT NEGLECT PRAYER
Quoting the biblical instruction to “pray without ceasing,” she described prayer as an intimate conversation between a child and the heavenly Father.
She warned that when a Christian becomes consistently lazy or careless about prayer, it may be a sign of spiritual decline.
“Prayer keeps you connected to God. When prayer becomes difficult, neglected or unimportant to you, examine yourself and return to God,” she said.
HOLD FIRMLY TO THE WORD OF GOD
Pastor Princess Ojo also encouraged Christians to remain close to their Bibles and make the Word of God a priority.
She lamented that many people have abandoned consistent Bible reading while spending long hours on phones and other electronic devices.
“The Word of God must take first place in our lives. Your device should not receive more attention than the voice of your Creator,” she counselled.
DO NOT FORSAKE FELLOWSHIP
She equally stressed the importance of Christian fellowship, reminding believers not to forsake the gathering of God’s people.
According to her, fellowship provides encouragement, spiritual strength, correction and an atmosphere where believers can grow together in faith.
She warned that the opportunity to repent should never be taken for granted.
“No one should assume that there will always be another opportunity. When God is calling you today, respond today,” she said.
CONCLUSION
In her concluding remarks, Pastor Princess Venisa Ojo expressed appreciation to readers and followers for their feedback, messages and encouragement through the platform.
“Your feedback and messages keep me going. Jesus Christ must be heard everywhere,” she said.
As the year enters the ember months, she urged everyone to conduct a spiritual examination of their lives, abandon anything drawing them away from God and return wholeheartedly to their Maker.
Turn back to God today. Leave every ungodly association, habit and environment behind, reconnect with Him through prayer, His Word and fellowship, and enjoy the goodness of the Lord.
Jesus is calling — do not delay.
