Ex- Army officer who fought the Nigerian Civil War from 1967 to 1970 as a regimented Nigerian Infantry soldier, Mr. James Olasehinde Asaolu is dead.
He died at the aged of 79 Years on Monday at Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria
His remains has been deposited in a mortuary at Igbara-Oke, Ondo State for a proper burial arrangement. According to the information at the disposal of Veno tv: He died in Akure's residence of his daughter after a brief illness .
Recalls, the deceased arrived from the war front with an Ibo lady whom he married as his wife and mother of his children.

This is my blood brother. He fought during the Nigerian Civil War (not Biafran war) from 1967 to 1970 as a regimented Nigerian Infantry soldier. As luck would have it, he arrived from the war front with an Ibo lady whom he married as his wife and mother of his children.
He was a man of bravery, valour, very bold and daring!
Very honest and straightforward a person. He can dash out his two eyes if you wanted them, to let you know how good he was at giving.
May God grant his soul a repose and give our family the fortitude to bear the loss.
