Good Night, Sis
By Kunle Rasheed
Since the heartbreaking news broke, I have been at a loss for words. Not because words fail me, but because no amount of words can soothe the pain my brother Mike Dada feels from losing his beloved wife to the cold hands of death. Many might not know how close she was to my family. She was my daughter Queen Maya's second mommy, doting on her as if she were her own. I think back to the beautiful life she lived, the love she shared with her husband that others envied, and the light she brought into this world. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her kindness and grace touched many hearts.
My dear sister was more than a wife; she was a treasured partner and a source of unwavering support and strength. Through every challenge and triumph, she stood by her husband’s side, embodying love in its purest form. Her compassion and warmth extended far beyond her immediate family, reaching everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her laughter was a melody, her smile a beacon of hope, and her spirit an inspiration to all.
Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she has touched. Her memory will forever be cherished, her love forever remembered. She showed us what it means to live with an open heart and to give selflessly. Her impact on this world is immeasurable, and her presence irreplaceable.
In the hearts of those who loved her, she will always be a guiding light. We honor her memory by carrying forward the values she held dear and the love she so generously shared. Rest in peace, dear sister, knowing that you are profoundly missed and eternally celebrated.
