VENO tv: CRIMEWATCH | My Life Is in Danger" — Adeyemi Adeniyi Matthew Raises Fresh Concerns Over Alleged Fake Federal Agency Controversy
Date: 12-07-26

By Kayode Adoide

Adeyemi Adeniyi Matthew, who has been linked to the ongoing controversy surrounding an alleged fake federal agency, has claimed that his life is under threat and has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to constitute an independent panel to investigate the matter.
Speaking on the development, Adeyemi urged Nigerians to focus on the available documents rather than speculation, insisting that all evidence should be subjected to public scrutiny.

According to him, unknown persons allegedly visited his father's residence in the middle of the night searching for him, an incident he said left his parents traumatized.

"There are threats to my life. Imagine people going to my father's house at midnight asking for me. The shock was so severe that my parents are now receiving medical treatment," he alleged.

Adeyemi thanked President Tinubu for directing the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the controversy. However, he called for an independent panel made up of respected civil society leaders, social critics, and other credible Nigerians to ensure what he described as a transparent and impartial investigation.
He maintained that he is ready to present all documents in his possession for thorough examination, adding that every aspect of the matter should be openly scrutinized.

Adeyemi also alleged that a middleman identified as the late Tanimola died under unusual circumstances in a hotel, calling on investigators to examine the circumstances surrounding the death as part of any comprehensive inquiry.

He further appealed to all parties to allow due process to take its course and urged investigators to establish the facts through documentary evidence.
The ICPC investigation ordered by the Presidency is expected to clarify the issues surrounding the controversy.
