VENO NEWS:From Doubt to Devotion: How I Became a Champion for Atiku Abubakar’s Vision
Date: 09-08-25

By AbdulAziz Na'ibi Abubakar

My journey to becoming a fervent supporter of Atiku Abubakar began not with admiration, but with questions, questions that stirred my curiosity and led me to uncover a truth that would change my perspective forever. It was a journey from skepticism to conviction, from confusion to clarity, and from indifference to an unyielding commitment to promote a man whose vision could liberate Nigeria from the chains of corruption, division, and stagnation. This is my story, a deeply personal tale of discovery, hope, and a burning desire to see Atiku Abubakar sworn in as Nigeria’s President.

The Seeds of Doubt;
It all started a few years ago, when I couldn’t escape the relentless noise of Nigeria’s political arena. Everywhere I turned, on television, radio, and social media, Atiku Abubakar’s name was met with accusations. The ruling party’s media influencers painted him as a corrupt figure, a man unfit to lead. Northern elites, meanwhile, whispered that he favored Southerners and Christians over Muslims and Northerners, casting him as a traitor to his roots. I was perplexed. If Atiku was as corrupt as they claimed, why hadn’t the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), controlled by the ruling party, brought him to justice? Why were the Northern elites so intent on alienating him from his own people? These questions gnawed at me, refusing to let go. I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Atiku than the smear campaigns suggested. Determined to uncover the truth, I embarked on a personal quest to understand who Atiku Abubakar really was. I pored over his past records, studied his associates, and read his blueprint for Nigeria. What I found wasn’t just a politician, it was a visionary whose competence, integrity, and love for Nigeria threatened the very power mongers that sought to tarnish his name.

A Revelation of Character and Vision; As I dug deeper, I discovered a man whose legacy spoke louder than the lies. Atiku Abubakar, Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, had been a driving force behind economic reforms that opened doors for millions of Nigerians. His role in telecom liberalization brought connectivity to the masses, creating jobs and opportunities for the voiceless. His establishment of the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola stood as a testament to his belief in education as a tool for liberation, empowering young Nigerians to dream big and compete globally. I was particularly moved by Atiku’s 5-point agenda, a blueprint that promised economic revival, security, quality education, true federalism, and youth empowerment. His commitment to mentoring young leaders, guaranteeing 40% youth representation in governance, resonated deeply with me. Here was a man who saw the potential in Nigeria’s youth, who believed in passing the torch to the next generation. His philanthropy, supporting causes like the Chibok girls’ recovery and quietly aiding those in need, revealed an altruistic heart, one that found joy in the success of others. But what struck me most was Atiku’s ability to bridge Nigeria’s divides. In a nation fractured by tribe and religion, he stood as a unifier, earning respect from Southerners, Northerners, Christians, and Muslims alike. The accusations that he favored one group over another were not a flaw but a strength, a reflection of his vision for a united Nigeria where every citizen has a place.

The Truth Behind the Smears The more I learned, the clearer it became: Atiku Abubakar was a threat to the status quo. His competence, experience, and vision for a progressive Nigeria terrified those who thrived on corruption, division, and enforced poverty. The ruling elites and their media machinery weren’t attacking him out of truth, they were desperate to stop a man whose presidency would dismantle their retrogressive legacy. His commitment to education, poverty alleviation, and youth-driven governance was a direct challenge to their power, a beacon of hope they couldn’t afford to let shine. I realized that Atiku had endured more character assassination than any politician in Africa. The smears were not just personal, they were a calculated effort to keep Nigerians in the dark, to prevent us from rallying behind a leader who could truly liberate us. This realization hit me hard. It wasn’t just about Atiku; it was about the future of Nigeria, about breaking free from the grip of power-hungry hyenas who profited from our suffering.

A Promise to Act: That was the moment I made a vow to use my voice, my influence, however small, to tell the world who Atiku Abubakar really is. I couldn’t stand by while lies drowned out the truth. I began sharing his story, his vision, and his legacy with anyone who would listen. I initiated “The Atiku Movement,” a grassroots effort determined to inspire admiration for Atiku among the Nigerians and beyond. I worked with stakeholders, opinion shapers, religious leaders, and academicians, mapping out ways to bridge the gap between Atiku and the communities he seeks to serve. Every step of this journey has been fueled by a fire in my heart, a belief that Atiku’s presidency would mark the end of an era of deception and the beginning of a Nigeria where every child can learn, every family can thrive, and every voice is heard. I’ve seen the hope he inspires in young Nigerians, the way they look to him as a father figure, a mentor who will rebuild our nation and hand it to the next generation. I’ve celebrated his contributions to democracy, from his opposition to a one-party system in 1993 to his unwavering fight for the marginalized as the voice of the voiceless.

A Dream Worth Fighting For: Today, as I write this, I am filled with emotion and gratitude for the truth I’ve uncovered, anger at the forces that seek to suppress it, and hope for the Nigeria Atiku envisions. I dream of a day when he stands before the nation, sworn in as President, ready to lead us into a future of unity, prosperity, and opportunity. But that dream requires us to act, to rise above the lies, and to fight for a leader who believes in us. My story is not just mine, it’s the story of every Nigerian who yearns for change. It’s the story of a people ready to break free from poverty, illiteracy, and division. It’s the story of a man, Atiku Abubakar, who has faced relentless attacks yet never wavered in his love for Nigeria. I urge you to join me, to read his blueprint, to see the man behind the smears, and to support his vision for a better Nigeria.

Together, we can make history. Together, we can ensure that Atiku Abubakar becomes the President Nigeria deserves. So help us God. ?

Join me in The Atiku Movement: Let’s Build a United, Prosperous Nigeria with Atiku Abubakar. #fyp #goviral #atiku
